IBM Cloud Information Exchange

Cloud Innovation exchange 2019
The Brief
George P. Johnson (GPJ) approached DisplayWise once again to help them deliver one of IBM’s largest events in the country. The IBM Cloud Innovation Exchange 2019 held at the ICC drew thousands of delegates, media, influencers and IBMers for an entire day of information sharing and demonstrations. The hall was to be converted into five distinct campuses each with its own theme and learning purpose. These activations had to be state of the art, reinforcing IBM’s leadership in Cloud.Client | George P Johnson |

SOLUTION
In collaboration with GPJ, DisplayWise converted Hall 4 into a series of campuses each with their own theme and learning purpose. The five distinctive campuses guided customers on a visually spectacular and informative journey.
Connecting further with the brand, IBM themed one of the campuses around its involvement in Apollo 11’s landing 50 years ago. Our builders followed a clear brief to create replicas of the space station and mission control units. A typical 1960’s lounge room gave the audience an idea of how the moment was witnessed by people around the world at that time. Futuristic gaming of today sat alongside the arcade machines from years gone by. It was a great way for people to casually interact and share a little competitive spirit.

RESULT
IBM Chairman, President and CEO, Ginni Rometty, senior IBM executives and some of Australia and New Zealand’s most recognised business and technology leaders got together for an interactive discussion on the technologies that are changing the world. IBM met their audience targets with over 1,500 attendees streaming through the doors at Darling Harbour. The event campuses showcased IBM’s capability and leadership in the market. The activations allowed delegates to get hands-on with technologies that allow them to build an open tomorrow.
